About Toucans Tiki Lounge
At the north end of Palm Canyon Drive, Toucans has been pouring tropical drinks under hanging greenery since the early 2000s, when its founders built a tiki nightclub inspired by Disneyland's Enchanted Tiki Room — bamboo, fountains, birds and all.
What started as a neighborhood tiki bar grew into one of the city's essential entertainment rooms. The stage hosts Tommi Rose & The Playgirls, the longest continuously running drag show in Palm Springs, alongside a weekly rotation of theme nights — Latin Fever Mondays, Neon Thursdays, Dirty Pop Saturdays — and a 'Toucans Live on Stage' series that brings in cabaret and performance talent from well beyond the desert.
It's loud, lush, unpretentious, and packed — the kind of room where the show spills off the stage and the dance floor takes it from there.
