About The Purple Room Supper Club

Every lounge in the desert borrows the Rat Pack's aesthetic. The Purple Room doesn't have to borrow — this is the actual room. Opened in 1960 inside the Club Trinidad hotel, it became the intimate hangout of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr., who were known to jump on stage unannounced and run through the hits when the mood struck.

Legend runs deep here: it's said Sinatra kept the hotel's number close at hand so he could drop in with friends whenever he wanted a stage, and one persistent tale has him proposing to Barbara Marx at the club in 1976.

Entertainer Michael Holmes bought the room in 2013 and restored it as a proper mid-century supper club — dinner, classic cocktails, and live entertainment night after night, from jazz and cabaret to touring vocal acts. Note the desert rhythm: the room goes dark for high summer, with the 2026–27 season opening September 1. Sit where the Chairman sat; the room does the rest.
