About Giselle Woo & The Night Owls
Giselle Woo & The Night Owls call their sound Chicano desert rock, and no phrase fits better: blues muscle, psychedelic guitar haze, and vocals that glide between English and Spanish, all rooted in the Coachella Valley soil the band grew up on.
Fronted by Cathedral City native Giselle Woo, the band has been a staple of the Greater Palm Springs music scene since forming in 2018 — the rare local act that's played everything from neighborhood stages to the Coachella festival itself, with the Joshua Tree Music Festival in between.
Their signature single 'Coachella Gold' is a love letter to the valley — and live, the Night Owls make the case that the desert's best-known festival isn't the only place to hear the desert's own music.
